Much = se usa cuando hablamos de sustantivos incontables 

Uncountable nouns son los sustantivos que no puedes contar 
traffic,money ,furniture(mobiliario en general)


Ej:

¿Cuanto dinero estamos hablando?

¿Cuanto sangre puedo donar?

¿Cuánto mobiliario tienes?
(Sería contable si te refirieras a un mueble en concreto por ejemplo:how many cupboards do you have? ¿Cuantos armarios tienes??

Many = se usa cuando hablamos de sustantivos contables (coches, personas, frutas, animales). 

Countable Nouns son aquellas cosas que puedes contar:
•a dog: one dog, two dogs, three dogs, etc. (un perro: un perro, dos perros, tres perros, etc.)
•an apple: two apples, three apples, etc.
